Greens Landscape Design is a Landscape Architectural firm that offers a range of services suited to our clients specific needs. Gardens should respond to specific uses of function, beauty, and recreation while their use should be sustainable, maintainable and productive. Gardens should acknowledge their part in the larger environment.
A garden is: a living, breathing thing, growing and constantly changing. It is composed of many interconnected parts. Greens responds to the needs of the garden by offering complete comprehensive garden services. Our knowledge base, from arborist expertise to irrigation auditing, enables us to respond to the garden as a whole by addressing each of it’s parts.
A garden is: a valuable space that responds to it’s users by providing opportunities for activity or inactivity, for meditation or celebration, for renewal or retreat. The garden should be able to survive with limited inputs and provide useful outputs. Our designs react to desired uses and reflect these ideals.
A garden is: a small part of a larger ecological environment containing watersheds, ecotones, and wildlife habitats. It is also a small part of a larger cultural environment consisting of viewsheds, land usage, and community contexts. The Garden speaks to it’s users through creating it’s own unique Sense of Place.

ABOUT GREENS
Greens Landscape Design is a full service landscape architectural firm. Amy Blakemore, ALSA, Owner and Principal is also a ISA Board certified Arborist and licensed Landscape Contractor. Amy received her degree in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University. She has also completed the local Green Gardener Program, Master Gardener Program and was previously certified as a Landscape Irrigation Auditor.
The firm has presented numerous projects before Montecito, South Coast, Hope Ranch and Mulholland Architectural Review Boards as well as the Historic Landmarks Committee and and City of Santa Barbara.
